Detroit - the silent city

Apparently uninhabited, the result of the decrease of the population. In fact, dynamic, innovative, already play a new role after the crisis that has lasted a decade.

We went to Detroit, Michigan, the first
city in the world to be declared bankrupt.
A city which now is trying to get
out from under crushing debt, incurred
to bond holders and pensions during decades
of economic decline and financial
mismanagement.
We thought to find a city twisted, lifeless,
inhabited by people confused and resigned.
On the contrary, the interlocutors
that we met, have spoken of a city which
especially has had a bad governance,
and for the most part, the city was just
an innocent victim of the market forces.
