L’anima del progetto è la storia di una comunità (quella di Dongo), che si misura nel corso del tempo con le ferriere e con il territorio e che si interfaccia con la storia di contesti culturali e sociali più ampi. La finalità è quella di indagare ed interpretare i cambiamenti socio-culturali prodotti ed indotti dalla presenza della fabbrica sul territorio
